This organisation is one of Australia's leading suppliers of building materials offering a broad range of innovative products to its customer base. The business is currently on a journey of change with a number of initiatives to increase profit, reduce costs and streamline processes. This is a unique opportunity for a senior supply chain manager to take on a leadership role where your mandate will be to deliver on supply chain objectives whilst developing and implementing strategies to improve performance.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager of Distribution, you will be responsibility for all facets of the national supply chain including purchasing, planning and inventory management. This is a critical role to lead sales and operational planning and procurement responsibilities, implement relevant changes to improve customer service and reduce inventory levels. You will work intimately with internal stakeholders to measure and analyse performance, develop and introduce initiatives, lead supply chain projects that will improve efficiency and customer relationships.

You will be tertiary qualified in a relevant field with significant experience in supply chain ideally gained in an environment that has fast moving products and complexity within their SKU range. You will have experience managing stock in multiple locations and come from an environment where customer service and improving efficiency drives the business. Results focused, strong communication and analytical skills with a commercial mindset will be critical to your success.
