Key Responsibilities: As the lead Storage Architect, you will capture and deliver Storage solutions, evangelising the clients service and solution set. The specific requirements include: The ability to drive a services led approach to Storage tenders and standalone storage consulting engagements A thorough understanding of the EMC product range Demonstration of a thorough knowledge of storage trends in the market place with particular emphasis on value add software and consulting services to enhance and differentiate our storage offering Ability to engage with senior customer IT specialists to understand requirements and propose appropriate solutions
Key Skills: 10-15 years experience as a Solution Architect, with a minimum of five to seven years specifically in storage solutions An understanding of best practice regarding solution design, management and support of storage environments A thorough knowledge of EMC hardware, software and other third party offerings that address related solutions for disaster recovery, backup design, data de-duplication, management reporting, capacity analysis, Cloud computing The ability to define and support standalone consulting engagements to enable delivery of Storage Assessment, Data Profiling, Capacity Management, Training and implementation services Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards, emerging industry trends, and new enabling technologies A thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to contribute to a sales and delivery teaming approach Effective presentation and communication skills
